Patient Access Representative
Position Summary
The Patient Access Representative greets and registers patients; verifies insurance information, updates patient information, assists in obtaining referral or pre-certification information, facilitates methods of payments at time of appointment, and takes payment for services. They will also answer telephones, schedules tests and procedures.  Provide patients with instructions, instruction sheets, and “preps” for tests, provides general assistance for physically ill patients, and interacts with medical providers.

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior customer service and basic computer electronic health record system knowledge.  Effective oral communication, and telephone etiquette are required.
  • The ability to respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations are required.  Knowledge of computer keyboard, facsimile, and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Respect for and ability to follow Clinic’s Confidentiality Policy.
