Nursing Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Nursing Supervisor reports to the Director of Patient Care.  The Supervisor provides leadership and direct supervision for clinical care team members, as assigned predominately by clinic location.  The Supervisor completes overall staff scheduling and coordinates daily staffing levels to ensure coverage in all areas, including providing patient care as needed.  The Supervisor also serves as a coach/mentor providing ongoing training and feedback related to competency and work performance.  The Supervisor participates in the recruitment and onboarding for new staff.

In addition, the Supervisor maintains collaborating relationships with medical providers and multidisciplinary professional staff, fostering patient and staff relations with a focus on quality and safety, and ensuring professional, regulatory, legal compliance and assists in the development and revisions of policies and procedures.


  • Must be a registered nursing degree, BSN preferred.  Additional management and assessment courses, nursing course certification preferred. CPR certification required. Supervisory experience in the nursing filed.  A minimum of two years of prior nursing experience as a supervisor or management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with planning, organizing, delegating, problem solving, negotiating and supervising.
  • Basic working knowledge of Clinic policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Significant experience with computers and office equipment.
  • Must be aware of the need for discretion regarding the Clinic, its employees, patients and follow all HIPAA rules and regulations. 
  • Must promote and demonstrate the Clinic mission/vision statement.
