The Radiology Technologist operates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, processes and evaluates film, and assists the Radiologist with procedures. This position provides age appropriate care for patients with a wide variety of medical surgical conditions.PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Requires full range of body motion including the ability to stoop, kneel, reach, stand and walk for extensive periods of time; push, pull and grasp items, finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination, and the ability to lift or assist in lifting patients weighing in excess of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics. Requires corrected vision (including depth perception), and hearing to normal range.
Graduate from an AMA-approved 2-year school of Radiologic Technology, and registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Added certification in Mammography and CT is preferred.
Prior X-ray experience is preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to function as a team member are also required.
