Full-Time IT Support Specialist
Position Summary

 This position will provide information about the clinic’s information systems and associated applications.   Provides customer service on behalf of Brown Clinic ITC to all Brown Clinic sites.  Answer inquiries and respond to requests to the appropriate departments.  Responsible to assure that all computers and associated equipment at Brown Clinic sites are maintained according to Brown Clinic ITC standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1.    Provide 1st level support for phones, in person support and remote support.        
2. Hardware support, such as desktop / laptop computers, printers, scanners, handhelds, Setup printers, configure handhelds and telecommunication devices.
3. User software support, EMR, LIS/Middleware, MDM, MRS, video telehealth and dictation
4. Provide software support, including installation and upgrades
5. Participate in software and hardware rollouts / upgrades
6. Configure, image and rebuild PC's / laptop's
7. Account creation for new users.  Make changes to existing accounts, monitor wireless connectivity.
8. Documentation for IT Ticket tracking.  Maintain and log IT inventory.  Maintain and log KB
9. Follow existing help desk procedures and contribute instructional documentation, as needed
10. On-call rotation IT support, including some nights and weekends

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Microsoft or other relevant network, systems, or administration certified preferred.  This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Brown Clinic automobile liability insurance carrier.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:  Maintains confidentiality when dealing with all physicians, employees, and patients.  Must utilize effective problem solving skills as appropriate.  Conveys enthusiasm and sincerity and promotes Brown Clinic and its services in a positive manner to all customers.  Supports Brown Clinic through the daily application of our mission, vision, core values, and social principles while providing quality care and service to our patients, their families, co-workers, physicians, volunteers, and the communities we serve.  Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.  Performs duties in a manner consistent with Safety Principles.  Employee is required to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards associated with but not limited to: HCFA and OSHA. Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment.  May be involved on organization committees.
