Position Summary
The Insurance Claims Representative will assist patients with insurance related questions and problems, corrects insurance computer screens, assists patients in filing insurance claims and completing insurance forms, works with insurance companies to pre-certify patients for surgery, answers patient correspondence, and performs other related duties.
Preferred Experience in Medicare Billing.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Prior Insurance experience is preferred.
- Telephone etiquette, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations are required. Knowledge of computer keyboard, facsimile, and medical terminology is preferred.
